What is Scotia?

Scotia is a small trim that normally sits on top of the flooring and butts against existing skirting board.

Using scotia means that we do not have to take off the skirt board, which saves time & cost, but also reduces chance of damage (as sometimes old skirting board can fall apart when removed).

We are happy to discuss whether we use scotia or skirting boards in your free consultation.

Specialist Gym flooring

Gyms are hard wearing environment, they have large heavy equipment on them, as well as people moving around. Meaning that the material has to be durable but giving at the same time.

This is most prevalent in the weights and resistance section, you may notice that the flooring is often different in these areas within gyms.

Also, fitting can only happen in a very narrow window as Gyms can be open 14 hours a day (plus) with people needing space and accesses.

Our team did a great job for Fitness First in Peckham , we stripped and replaced the existing flooring (approx 15m2) over night between 10pm and 5 am to ensure no disruption to the gym users.

Next time you work out there take a look at the quality of finish!
